My Last Breath-Evanescence

...So. I just downloaded OpenCanvas 4.5.

And already, it wins over PhotoShop. I've used it for all of an hour and just...

It's amazing. I'm definitely buying this once my trial is up.

And, no, this wasn't done in JUST an hour. I started this this morning in OpenCanvas 1.1. Which, is what I've been using more lately.

The flow of the brushes, the flexibility of the program and the way the colors end up is just...

*amazing*

Totally gonna be worth the 70 dollars.


ANYWAY. Enough about my love for OC!

MORE ABOUT MIDNA.

...Am I the only one who saw Link/Midna as the greatest pairing EVER? I'm pretty sure not. And though, originally this had been planned to be a Link/Midna piece, Midna gave it enough emotional presence to really keep me content. And even though there's SO SO SO SO SOOOOOOO much I could still DO with it... I love it right here.

So, it turns out this got stolen once or twice. Now, I'm not real big on art theft, but usually, if it's just stuff like fanvids (which is where I've seen this most) I don't give a crap. But, someone finally came out and tried to claim they drew and colored this.

Ooooh, so pretty! I can't draw Bigna for beans. You really did a great job just in the line art alone! And the colors...! Woman, you're good. ^_^ And, no, you're not the only person who saw Link/Midna. That is my Zelda OTP, srsly.

I've got oC 1.1 and it's terribly fun. Nice and simple to use. Haven't really mastered the tablet, yet, though. Ah well. Practices makes one better.

You know, I've heard and seen nothing but great reviews and great works that came out of OpenCanvas, including this piece, but I'm really beginning to wonder-
Where do you get it?
Can you buy it in a store or is it exclusively available through downloading?

Yeah, but Jess - like alot of other hard-core digital artists, would prefer to actually pay for the product they're using. Most of all if it's on a professional level. I'm not pointing fingers or calling anyone bad, but some people would prefer to pay if they're going to use versions of programs like OC or photoshop...most of all if they make money off of the results.
